If you are using a Windows PC you could use a program called PostShoot to generate and train your NeRFs or Gaussian splats, it is a free piece of software which at the time of writing is still in the Beta stage whereby you can upload photos or videos to train and generate a 3D model. You can adjust its resolution, scale and so much more however it is a slow process and you ideally still need at least 200 good images to work from.
The generated result can be imported into After Effects workflows for 3D work.
After Effects Workflow
During Installation, you have the option to also install the PostShot After Effects Plugin it is recommended you do this as this will allow your postshot PSHT files to be used within After Effects essentially allowing Gaussian splats within AE.
The plugin should be found in/copied to typically:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore\
Create a Composition and add a New Solid Layer (this will be used for the Gaussian Splat layer)
Under Effects and Presets drag JawSet > PostShot effect onto shape layer
Select your PSHT file (file created within PostShot app after training and saving)
4. We now need to create a camera to move our Gaussian splat and for rotational keyframing. We can edit and work with this as we would any other footage. I would save this comp as a composition for other compositions.
